I got tagged by necro_nerdo, and I tag...

Such is the bliss of having a Saturday without anything to really do.  There are plenty of things I could do, and many things I should do.  Oh, but why today when there is Sunday to take into account.  So lazy!  I guess that's what happens when you get up at 7:30 AM.  We just got back from shooting hoops.  Actually, tomorrow was going to be more of the same, except for going to the mall for a little while.  However, I picked up a shift at the information desk for most of the day.  Might as well get paid for sitting around doing nothing, reading, and playing WoW.

Last night we had a family get-together at my uncle's house.  It was nice to see my family again, althouigh one of my cousins didn't show.  Sucker.  I don't see why I have to go if he doesn't feel moved to go.  Regardless, I always love sitting with my great-Aunt Kay and hearing stories about when she was my age.  The sad thing was hearing that my cousins aren't doing well academically.  The oldest one just spent a year at a junior college and was accepted into a four-year college (Azuza Pacific, which most of the family had some reservations about) but declined and decided to stay another year and look at other places like Cal Poly.  The next one is going to the same junior college.  The next two don't know about what will happen next year, and they are seniors in high school.  It's kind of scary.  There were no options for me when I was their age.  College was a must.  My parents and classmates were movitated for me.  For almost everything these days, it seems you need at least a college degree.  I have friends who are still stuck in the junior college system and have been for six years.  The girls don't seem to mind much.  My mother thinks they might just get married and that's the end of it.  God I hope not.  Scott still enjoys my family, but we are in such a horrible state that we aren't really much of a family anymore.  No one is helping my father and uncle with my grandfather.  What's even worse is that two of my uncles won't help with their parents.  It all falls upon the third brother, and he's exhausted.  Both of the parents have cancer, and he's considered the handiman of the family.  But now it's falling back on my other uncles, since when they ask him for help, he tells them to go find someone and pay them for it.  Suckers.

Name six songs that you are currently digging ... it doesn't matter
what genre they are from, whether they have words or even if they're
any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post
these instructions and then list the six artists and the songs in your
LiveJournal. Then tag six other people to see what they're listening to.

"Float on" by Modest Mouse
"Everyday" by Dave Matthews Band
"Hey Mama" by Black Eyed Peas
"Feel Good, Inc" by the Gorillaz
"The Hand that Feeds" by Nine-Inch Nails

Oh, thanks.

Hmm... "This Room" by The Notwist

Just for that, I'm bending the rules and making YOU list six songs you like on your next post. HUZZAH

On a completely different note, I have decided to give up WoW until I get a new computer. Which could mean December. I can't handle this. I can't tell you how many people have added me and then yelled at me because I can't do anything because my computer lags so much. It's not worth the frustration. And what really pisses me off is that I paid over $500 just to get this whole thing fixed.

the cord grip
Not to change the subject, but I used to have a terrible time keeping my electrical cords together until I discovered The Cord Grip. I would spend half of my time reconnecting them. The Cord Grip can be found at http://www.thecordgrip.com. I hope these will help you as much as they have helped me. Good Luck!
