Wow, tomorrow is Christmas Eve. I can't really believe it. I've been moving so fast I didn't even really get it.
Last night had dinner with Kristina. She bought me this really cool present. I never saw it coming. So sweet of her. We went to Stuft for dinner and saw Oceans 12 in theatres. As expected, it was not near the caliber of Oceans 11. The first hour I was wondering why I had even made the decision to come. I'm a very simpleminded person, and I thought what a lot of other people thought: they put way too much effort into making this a good sequel. Ah well. All in all, I'm glad I went. And Kristina and I had a great time together.
Today was simple enough. Angel and I woke up early to dash to Valley Fair for shopping. We were there by 8:30 AM. Out by 10:45 AM loaded down with five or six heavy bags as we dragged ourselves across the street to my car parked in front of my Great-Aunt Kay's house. My bank account has been whimpering ever since. I've never used my card so much in one day. We also had to visit my Great-Aunt Kay, the matriarch of my family. The unspoken rule is: if you park in front of the house, you must come in afterwards to say hello. And more than half the time, she's not even there, anyway. But she was there, and we spoke just a little. And you know me, I love stirring up trouble with my family. EVERYONE will be buzzing by the holiday. Just the way I like it.
Afterwards, came back to the house to wrap presents and eat lunch and chill. Was pleasantly surprised when Alison came by bearing gifts and telling me about Mexico. I didn't mean to overwhelm her by babbling about Angel, but that's what it came down to. Sorry about that, Alison. I really appreciate your listening.
Went to dinner with Dinah. That was fun, as it always is. She did much listening as well. It was good to hear about her life since we last spoke. Good to hear she will be going to Mexico next week. Enjoy!
Got to meet the new landlords. Really nice couple. I have like three telephone numbers for them. And they bought us See's candy.
Angel gave me a really really nice present for Christmas. BUT I was one up on him. Muahaha. I told him he's more than welcome to come by my family's house on Christmas Eve or Christmas, which he is likely to take up. When we were about to go meet my Great-Aunt Kay, I asked Angel if it was all right for me to refer to him as my boyfriend. I felt it best to make it easy on my aunt. Let's not complicate things. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that, not only was Angel all right with me using the term at the time, but I am more than welcome to continue using said term. Well, at least I moved a little slower. Still couldn't hold out until Christmas. It's an improvement of sorts. And I'm not complaining. I could get used to this.
Great, now I have a new pet name: Buffy.
